Heidi Reed

D.E.A.F., Inc.
2000 Recipient

Some of Heidi's successes include helping D.E.A.F., Inc. to be a strong agency with program created by people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing; working with community members, staff, and board members to bring new services to four satellite offices in Massachusetts: being able to work with many different people and learning from their many different perspectives; being a life-long reader; earning a B.A. and M. A. college degrees: marrying her wonderful husband; and being able to help her family when they need special assistance from her.

Heidi's challenge is to make sure everyone knows that Deaf people can accomplish many different things. Her challenge is to keep D.E.A.F., Inc. running well in order to satisfy the Deaf Community's needs.
